Sakura-no-Sato is a vast area of about 40,000m² with 1,500 cherry trees of about 40 varieties. It is a famous spot where you can enjoy various kinds of cherry blossoms for long periods of time from September to May. Many cherry blossoms bloom here, including the Kan-zakura and Kawazu-zakura in February as well as the early-blooming Oshima-zakura, Jogasaki-zakura, and Ito-zakura in March. In April, the elegant Somei Yoshino (Yoshino cherry) will be at its prime. Enjoy seeing different cherry blossoms every season! Every year in early April, the Sakura-no-Sato Festival is held to welcome visitors here to view cherry blossoms in full bloom. It is recognized as one of the Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites.
