Mt.Omuro

Mt. Omuro is known for its silhouette shaped like an upside-down bowl. Head to the summit via a lift where you can enjoy a refreshing “aerial walk”. You can enjoy a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji, the Izu Seven Islands, and Sagami Bay and Sea with a crater tour of about 1 km that takes you around the volcano. On a sunny day, taking commemorative photos at hotspots against the background of Mt. Fuji is a must! Near the crater, there are places where you can enjoy archery as well as Mt. Omuro’s Sengen Shrine where gods of safe delivery and marriage are worshipped. Every year on the second Sunday of February, Yamayaki, a traditional event where the whole mountain set on fire, is held and crowded by many tourists.
